Verso is San Francisco’s newest electronic music venue featuring weekly club events with the worlds best DJs and live performers. The space features a state-of-the-art sound system from the Dutch company Alcons Audio, which will guarantee premier, distortion-free sound quality for revelers.
The Latin word - Verso, which translates to “on the turned page”, is located in the space of a former printing press. The refreshed interior showcases a comfortable, modern design created by Napa-based ShopWorks. The space offers a study in contrasts – high ceilings, walls of raw exposed brick and concrete flooring reflects the space’s industrial legacy, while tufted banquettes and inviting sofas and ottomans, reminiscent of British private clubs, create a comfortable and relaxed vibe.
About Lazy Rich
Unlike his name, Lazy Rich is an industrious and untiring studio junkie, a full time touring DJ, and a computer savvy brainiac. In additionto being one of the most respected electronic music producers of the past few years, Rich runs a highly respected indie label Big Fish Recordings (nurturing such talent as Zedd and Porter Robinson early in their career), and is the founder and programming brains behind Label-Engine.com, a cutting edge label management and music distribution software.
The UK native, residing in Canada, has produced over 140 originals and remixes, enough for a lifetime for most, but Lazy - as most like to call him– is just getting warmed up.
Rich’s stellar growth in electronic music and well deserved respect from fellow producers comes from his undeniably recognizable productions and compositions. Considered to be a forward thinking leader in the 'Electro-House’ genre, and credited as a pioneer of Complextro’, Lazy’s music has gained support from heavyweights such as Tiesto, Avicii, David Guetta, Skrillex, Dada Life, Sander Van Doorn, Chuckie, Pete Tong, Norman Cook, Laidback Luke, Armand Van Helden, Fedde Le Grande, Hardwell and many more.
Rich’s remix and collaboration credits include, Lady Gaga, Avicii, Fatboy Slim, Deadmau5, Chris Lake, Steve Aoki, Morgan Page, Zedd, Porter Robinson, John Dahlback, X-Press-2 and the list goes on. The list of supporters for his music is pretty much every top name in the industry. Rich scored an incredible amount of production success, both as chart toppers and underground hits with #1s on Beatport, Trackitdown, Juno, The Buzz Chart and over 100 tracks charting in the Beatport electro-house top 100. His SoundCloud page alone marked one-million plays at the end of 2012, after less than 2 years since its creation.
His style ranging from funky, groovy, all the way to intense and at times audaciously epic house music has put countless big records in his musical arsenal and paved the way for him to create his own signature style in a market. The past year saw Rich attracting remix requests from electronic music as well as pop music icons, while television ads and Hollywood films can now be added to that list.
Rich’s ability to read the crowd and respond with precision sets him apart as a DJ’s ‘DJ’, rather than the onslaught of the cliché digital DJ generation. The future looks incredibly bright for this rapidly rising star, who is anything but Lazy.
