GUESTLIST SIGN-UP

Verso is San Francisco’s newest electronic music venue featuring weekly club events with the worlds best DJs and live performers. The space features a state-of-the-art sound system featuring fifteen speakers and six subwoofers from the Dutch company Alcons Audio, which will guarantee premier, distortion-free sound quality for revelers.

The Latin word - Verso, which translates to “on the turned page”, is located in the space of a former printing press. The refreshed interior showcases a comfortable, modern design created by Napa-based ShopWorks. The space offers a study in contrasts – high ceilings, walls of raw exposed brick and concrete flooring reflects the space’s industrial legacy, while tufted banquettes and inviting sofas and ottomans, reminiscent of British private clubs, create a comfortable and relaxed vibe.

About HOOK N SLING

You might have heard of a badass little place in Australia that goes by the name of Bondi Beach. It’s a gem of a spot on the map, well known for its laid back lifestyle and surfer-ready waves. But there’s something else this sweet coastal hangout is recognised for producing – and that’s one of Australia’s most promising DJ/producers, Hook N Sling.

Yet while this talent hails from what you might call a more-than-mellow scene, it would be a mistake to equate his music as such. On the contrary, the ARIA-nominated Hook N Sling’s ascent has been single-mindedly driven, and backed by meticulously crafted and ever-evolving productions.

Making his biggest early splash was the gold-selling, Hype Machine-topping, YouTube 10-million-spinning 'Take You Higher' (with Goodwill), re-imagining Angus & Julia Stone's "Big Jet Plane" in an unexpected mesh of folk-blues and mainroom house. A year later his breakout #2 Beatport single 'Reason' (with NERVO) made more waves and became a catch-cry anthem for the dance floor (and notched up another 10m+ Youtube count).

Fast-forwarding to 2014, Hook kicked off the year with his epic collaboration with Empire of the Sun, 'Celebrate', showing his unrelenting pursuit of future sounds and unexpected pairings. Soon after came his intensely-anticipated, 'Tokyo By Night', instantly hitting #1 on Beatport and burrowing its way into the hearts and playlists of listeners for some time to come.

Most recently Hook turned heads with a genre-defying and rather aptly-titled weapon named 'Momentum'. Dubbed a 'career-defining track' by Earmilk and 'one of the most pivotal tracks of the year' by Insomniac, the track rightly took out the coveted #1 DMC Buzz Chart spot at ADE and exemplified Hook's own brand of dance music - meticulously crafted, infectiously danceable, and constantly surprising.
